Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord

"Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

And the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven; and sat down at the right hand of God. While they, going out, proclaimed the good news everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that accompanied it.

This is the Risen Christ embracing his mission to extend to the whole world. This is our mission too in word and action.
